It is our pleasure to announce that Dr. Nick Jankowski has been honored with an award from the Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) for Young Optometrist of the Year. This award is presented to an Optometrist who has been practicing less than 10 years who is an outstanding member in their community and profession. If you have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Nick at the practice you know he is a wonderful optometrist who cares for his patients with a kind attitude and charismatic spirit.
Outside of patient care and running the practice he puts in countless hours as the OPW Legislative chair where this year he celebrated a big win with a bill to help increase access to care for patients in Washington. In his role he drafted the bill that was signed into law and was crucial in the discussions with legislators and other organizations in order to achieve the win for the patients. His advocacy continues outside all of that where he has also done lectures to other health care professionals.
